“THE CHURLIANS”
The youngest author rock band in Serbia, which gathers „brats“, and whose goal is to pursue
a professional career in music they created. The group is founded at 2014, and now consists of:
Nikola Johnny Ranković - Band front-men, (vocal, guitar, songwriter). He plays the guitar
intensively from the age of 6, and from the age of 7, he attends the school for Music Production,
and Theory of Music, from sillabus of British Academy. He recorded his first album at the age of
12, where he acted completely as an author of songs and texts, arrangements, as a vocalist,
and he plays all guitars for the album. Distant plans are studies at BIMM in London (British and
Irish Modern Music Institute).
Grigorije Avramović-Griša - guitar, also plays with the band “Masterblasters”, consisted of the
best students of Belgrade school for rock and pop. He attends the guitar school and solfeggio
for three years, and he is also the first who supported the idea of creating the band “The
Churlians”. Together with Johnny, he performs for the first time guitar parts for one of “The
Churlians” songs.
Pavle Petrović - bass, attends the school for rock and pop “Master Blaster” for 4 years, and
rounds the band with his stage attitude, while showing the audience his new bass stile. Aside
from the bass, he plays guitar and percussion, and attends solfeggio classes. Together with
Johnny, he participated in the manifestation “Joy of Europe”, and to several “Band Encounter”
events in DKCB. In band, he is in charged for public relations with female fans.
Marko Beljić - drums, plays drums for 5 years. He is attending the school of rock and pop
“Master Blaster”, studying drum classes and solfeggio. His first official performance with “The
Churlians” was on 40+ degrees at Rock Village 2015 in B. Sokolac. He is also accounted for
Johnny’s second victory at “Band Encounter”, where they performed together. He used to play
in several metal bands.
Jelena Blagojević - keyboards and backup vocal, attends musical school “Josif Marinković” –
segment piano, drama school "Dadov", R&R school of singing, performs with key frame at
“Master Blaster” since 2014. She actively performs in Dadov, at National Theatre in Belgrade,
and in theatre “Bosko Buha”. She participated in more than 150 plays in theatres, and had one
leading role in drama “Anja”.

Band in his first setting was with
Djuradj Djuricic on drum. He held humanitarian concert for people
jeopardized from floods in Kraljevo, and it was their first performance. They had successful promotion,
named
“Energy Exchange” where they firstly
invited Serbian young people, then musicians, producers, managers, critics, journalists, editors, and all
those who love rock’n roll sound, to exchange the energy together with them, and support transfer of its
experience and knowledge to the small, and small its new creativity and talent to the big! Promotions was
supported by: YU Group, Djule Van Gogh, Dragoljub Djuricic, Krle Generacija 5, Firci EKV, Vasil
Hadzimanov, Randja Neverne bebe, Vicko Riblja Corba, publicist and rock critic Petar Janjatovic, Dragan
Ivanovic, and many others.
