Nikola Johnny Rankovic (born in Belgrade on November 11th 2003. – Sagittarius) – the youngest rock author, a winner of “Hero of the City of Belgrade” award for 2013, for humanitarian rock concert and plaque for venturer of newspapers “Novosti”. He is a double winner of the contest “Band Encounter”, and our country’s’ representative for manifestation “Joy of Europe”, with an author song “I don’t want to live in a country without rock’n’roll”.
He plays guitar intensively from the age of 6, and from the age of 7, he attends the school of Music Production, and also a course “Theory of music”, as a part of British Academy syllabus. At UK Songwriting 2015 Contest in London, he achieved noticeable success competing with 70.000 songs, where he entered the semifinals and reached 12th place as composer and songwriter of the song “Hot and Cold”,
Aside of being a complete creator of songs and music for his album, and playing all guitars, he is also the author of leading riffs and jingles for some commercials.
Johnny is a front men of the youngest author band in Serbia “The Churlians”. He played alone, and also with our celebrated musicians, from small auditoriums till stadiums, city squares and TV Studios. He is recording his first album, where aside of being creator of all texts, music, arrangements and playing all guitars, he is also a vocal singer. Production is confided to the best, Vojislav Aralica. He plans the album release on spring 2016. It will be the first rock album which was completely accomplished by one person, from the age of 7 till 10.
